Body fever may be caused by various factors, with common ones being infectious causes such as tuberculosis and bronchitis. When the body is invaded by bacteria or viruses, the immune system activates and causes an increase in body temperature.

Other causes such as autoimmune diseases, tumors, drug reactions, and endocrine disorders may also lead to fever. The degree and duration of fever can help identify the underlying cause. Mild fever, with a temperature between 37.5°C and 38°C, is usually a normal response of the body to a minor infection, while high fever, with a temperature exceeding 39°C, may indicate a severe infection or other serious illness.

For fevers of unknown origin, especially those accompanied by other symptoms such as severe headache, rash, joint pain, or impaired consciousness, timely medical attention is required for comprehensive examination and diagnosis to determine the specific cause and implement appropriate treatment measures.

If the body temperature exceeds 38.5°C during a fever, medication is usually required for lowering the temperature. For low-grade fever, physical cooling methods such as ice packs or warm water sponge baths may be tried.
