Early symptoms of cancer are diverse and often atypical. Abnormal lumps may appear on superficial parts of the body, such as the breast, neck, and armpits. These lumps are usually firm with irregular edges and sometimes painless.

Existing moles or warts on the skin that suddenly increase in size, change color, or develop surface ulceration and bleeding within a short period should raise suspicion of malignant transformation. Ulcers that do not heal over a long period, such as oral ulcers or gastric ulcers, despite receiving standard treatment, may also be warning signs of cancer. Unexplained weight loss, particularly sudden weight reduction without intentional dieting, may also occur.

In addition, persistent pain, such as headaches, abdominal pain, or bone pain, that progressively worsens in intensity and increases in frequency should also be taken seriously. Some patients may experience gastrointestinal symptoms, including loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, rectal bleeding, and changes in bowel habits.

Regarding the respiratory system, symptoms such as long-standing cough, blood-tinged sputum, and hoarseness may occur. If any of the above abnormalities appear, timely medical evaluation is necessary for early cancer detection and improved chances of successful treatment.
