The Fastest and Most Effective Methods for Baby Colic
My baby has been crying incessantly lately, and the doctor said it's colic. Seeing him in discomfort makes me extremely anxious. Is there a quick and effective method to relieve my baby's colic?

For infantile colic, parents can appropriately perform abdominal massage, apply heat packs, change the baby's position, adjust feeding methods, or use medications.
Gently massaging the baby's abdomen in a clockwise direction can help release gas from the intestines and relieve pain. A hot water bag or other heating pad can be used to warm the baby's abdomen, but make sure the temperature is not too high, generally around 42°C, with each heat application lasting about 10 minutes. Heat therapy can alleviate intestinal spasms and reduce the sensation of pain.
Parents can place the baby face down on their lap or have the baby lie across their knees and gently pat the baby's back to help expel gas. If the baby is breastfed, the mother may need to adjust her diet; if the baby is formula-fed, trying different types of formula may be necessary. During episodes of colic, it is recommended to feed the baby breast milk or a small amount of formula, and try to keep the baby relaxed during feeding to avoid excessive tension.
If the pain is difficult to tolerate, medications such as lactulose oral solution or Bifidobacterium quadruple live tablets can be used under a doctor's guidance to regulate the intestinal flora and improve abdominal pain.
