Dizziness caused by the ear may be vestibular vertigo or otogenic vertigo, a condition triggered by dysfunction of the inner ear.

When the inner ear is affected by infections, circulatory disorders, autoimmune responses, or other factors, it may lead to conditions such as vestibular neuritis, Ménière's disease, or benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), causing symptoms including a sensation of spinning, unsteadiness, nausea, and vomiting.

Ménière's disease is an idiopathic inner ear disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of rotational vertigo, which may be accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sweating, and pallor. Its pathogenesis is primarily associated with endolymphatic hydrops or disturbances in the ionic composition of the endolymphatic fluid.

Other factors such as insufficient sleep, excessive physical activity, hypertension, and otitis media may also indirectly cause dizziness by affecting the ear nerves and brain function. Dizziness caused by ear-related issues can be a manifestation of various diseases. If dizziness recurs frequently, timely medical evaluation is recommended for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
