Allergic rhinitis is a common allergic disease, primarily triggered by inhaled allergens such as pollen, dust mites, and pet dander.

Prevention involves maintaining indoor cleanliness, regularly washing bedding and curtains, using mite-proof covers to reduce dust mite proliferation, and avoiding irritants such as pet hair, smoke, and mold. Eat a balanced diet, including more foods rich in vitamin C and E, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, to enhance immunity, and avoid known allergenic foods.

Identify the specific substances you are allergic to, such as pollen, dust mites, or animal fur, and try to avoid contact with them. When going outdoors, especially during peak pollen seasons, consider wearing a mask or goggles. Engage in regular physical exercise, such as running or swimming, to improve overall health and enhance disease resistance. Ensure good indoor ventilation and use air purifiers to reduce indoor allergen levels.

Predisposed individuals may take preventive medications, such as antihistamines, under a doctor's guidance before the high-allergy season begins. Patients with recurrent symptoms may consider undergoing specific immunotherapy, also known as desensitization therapy, for long-term symptom improvement.
