The methods for training the pectoral muscles with dumbbells generally include the dumbbell flat bench press. Lie flat on a bench, hold a dumbbell in each hand with arms extended upward toward the ceiling, then slowly lower the dumbbells outward until the elbows form a 90-degree angle, and then lift them back up slowly. This effectively stimulates the pectoralis major.

Dumbbell incline bench press. Similar to the flat bench press but performed on an incline bench with the head higher than the feet, which activates the upper chest muscles more effectively.

Dumbbell flyes. Lie supine or prone, holding dumbbells extended out to the sides with elbows slightly bent. Bring both dumbbells upward in an arc until they nearly touch above the chest. Pause briefly at the top, then slowly return to the starting position.

Dumbbell pullover. Lie supine with feet flat on the floor, holding one dumbbell behind the head with both hands. Arms and body should form a straight line, with elbows slightly bent. Use the chest muscles to pull the dumbbell upward until it reaches the highest point, hold for 1–2 seconds, then slowly return to the initial position.

Alternating dumbbell front raises. Stand or sit on a bench holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Alternately raise each dumbbell forward until it reaches shoulder height, which strengthens the middle and lower portions of the pectoral muscles.

When performing these exercises, ensure proper posture is used and avoid excessive loading to prevent muscle or joint injuries.
