How to Know When You’re Ovulating
Disease description:
It’s said that having intercourse during ovulation increases the chances of pregnancy. However, I always struggle to pinpoint the exact timing of my ovulation. I’ve heard that ovulation is often accompanied by certain physical symptoms—how can I tell when I’m ovulating?
Intercourse during the ovulation period significantly increases the likelihood of sperm fertilizing the egg, thereby enhancing the chances of conception. During ovulation, women often experience a sustained rise in basal body temperature, increased vaginal discharge (leukorrhea), and a sensation of heaviness or pressure in the lower abdomen; some may even experience light vaginal bleeding. Ovulation can be predicted by monitoring basal body temperature—ovulation is likely to have occurred when a sustained temperature increase is observed, accompanied by increased vaginal discharge. Alternatively, transvaginal ultrasound follicular monitoring at a hospital provides a more precise and reliable method for determining the timing of ovulation.
