Can individuals with keloid-prone skin undergo eyebrow embroidery?

Disease description:

My eyebrows are relatively light in color. A few days ago, I noticed a colleague had eyebrow embroidery done, and the results looked quite good, so I’m considering getting it done as well. However, I’ve always had a keloid-prone constitution. I’d like to ask: Is eyebrow embroidery safe for individuals with a keloid-prone constitution? Could it result in scarring?

Hello, eyebrow embroidery is a relatively convenient cosmetic procedure for enhancing the eyebrows. It involves customizing natural-looking, lifelike eyebrows based on your facial structure and existing brow characteristics. The results are water-resistant; however, a recovery period is required before the eyebrows appear fully natural. Individuals with keloid-prone or hypertrophic scarring tendencies are not advised to undergo eyebrow embroidery. This procedure uses fine needles to deposit pigment into the eyebrow area, causing minor trauma to the skin. Post-procedure, the treated area typically undergoes color reversal (a temporary darkening), followed by scab formation. Once the scabs naturally shed, the pigment settles into a more natural appearance. However, in individuals prone to scarring, wound healing is slower and may result in more prominent scars—potentially compromising the aesthetic outcome of the embroidery. I hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you good health!
