Symptoms of cubitus varus include elbow deformity. In some children, this condition is congenital; obvious deformity is typically apparent upon visual inspection, and limb movements may differ from those of healthy children. If cubitus varus results from trauma later in life, functional impairment and pain may also occur. For mild elbow deformity that does not interfere with normal development, functional training may be sufficient. However, if the deformity significantly impairs function or development, surgical correction is required.
