How is myopia treated?
Disease description:
Recently, my vision has been blurry whenever I look at things. After an examination, I was diagnosed with mild myopia. How is myopia treated?
Myopia can be corrected using eyewear, such as conventional spectacles or orthokeratology (ortho-k) lenses, which help improve visual acuity and slow the progression of refractive error. If the refractive error has stabilized, surgical options—such as femtosecond laser-assisted procedures—may be considered to effectively restore vision. During treatment, prolonged use of electronic devices should be avoided.
