Cellular immunotherapy is a novel, autologous, immune-based anticancer treatment. It typically involves the use of biotechnology and biological agents to collect immune cells from the patient’s body, expand and activate them ex vivo, and then reinfuse them back into the patient. This process enables the immune cells to target and destroy cancer cells while simultaneously enhancing the patient’s own immune function—thereby achieving therapeutic goals.
