What causes lower back fatigue, leg fatigue, and lower abdominal pain?
Disease description:
My aunt is always lying down and reluctant to move. She feels stiffness and fatigue in her lower back and legs, along with pain in her lower abdomen. Could you please explain what might be causing these symptoms—lower back stiffness and fatigue, leg fatigue, and lower abdominal pain?
Lower back fatigue, leg fatigue, and lower abdominal pain are commonly caused by prolonged physical labor or frequent bending and lifting, leading primarily to lumbar disc herniation with nerve compression. Concurrent gastrointestinal dysfunction cannot be ruled out. Currently, it is important to rest supine as much as possible. Adjunctive treatment may include medications that improve circulation and reduce inflammation and pain; however, specific drug selection and dosage must follow your physician’s instructions. Additionally, wearing a lumbar support brace is recommended. You may also perform the “flying swallow” and “arched bridge” exercises at home.
