Clarithromycin and omeprazole enteric-coated capsules should not be taken simultaneously, as they may interact with each other—reducing drug efficacy and potentially harming the body—or cause gastric irritation. Clarithromycin capsules themselves may also irritate the stomach, possibly leading to gastrointestinal discomfort. It is advisable to consult a physician for evaluation and follow their guidance regarding medication use. For pharyngitis, avoid spicy and irritating foods; maintain a light diet and drink plenty of water. Treatment may include heat-clearing and throat-soothing medications, including traditional Chinese medicine.
