Introduction
Pulmonary tumors refer to tumors occurring in the lung parenchyma and pulmonary interstitium, which are classified as primary or secondary. According to their histological morphology, they can be categorized into epithelial tumors, soft tissue tumors, mesotheliomas, etc. Malignant tumors originating from the bronchial mucosa or glands of the lung may be associated with factors such as smoking, occupational exposure, tuberculosis, chronic lung inflammation, and family history, and constitute a subset of pulmonary tumors.

Lung tumors, in medical terms, refer to tumors occurring in the lung. These may be lung cancer or other types of pulmonary tumors.

Pulmonary tumors are growths that develop in the lung parenchyma or interstitial tissues. They are classified as either primary or secondary, and based on biological behavior, they can be benign or malignant. Morphologically, they include epithelial tumors, soft tissue tumors, mesotheliomas, among others. Malignant tumors originating from the bronchial mucosa or glandular tissues may be associated with factors such as smoking, occupational exposure, tuberculosis, chronic lung inflammation, and family history, and represent one category within pulmonary tumors. Therefore, while a lung tumor may indeed be lung cancer, it could also be benign tumors such as pulmonary hamartoma or lipoma. In other words, lung cancer is just one type of pulmonary tumor.

Maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and undergoing regular medical check-ups to monitor lung health are beneficial for overall well-being.
