Introduction
Inverted nipples during puberty may resolve spontaneously in some cases, but not in others. The outcome varies from person to person. Inverted nipples during puberty are mostly pseudo-inversions, primarily caused by wearing tight undergarments. However, if the inversion is due to underdevelopment of the muscles, tendons, and mammary ducts around the nipple, it generally does not resolve on its own.

Indentation of the nipple during puberty may resolve spontaneously, but it may also persist. The specific outcome varies from person to person.

1. May resolve spontaneously

During puberty, nipple indentation is often pseudo-inversion, mainly caused by wearing tight undergarments. It is recommended to promptly eliminate the cause, and regularly massage and gently pull the nipple in daily life, which may lead to spontaneous resolution.

2. May not resolve spontaneously

If the nipple inversion is due to poor development of the muscles, tendons, or mammary ducts around the nipple, it generally will not resolve on its own.

Patients with inverted nipples should consult a qualified physician to determine whether treatment is necessary based on individual circumstances. During treatment, loose-fitting clothing should be worn to minimize constriction of the breasts.
