Hydroquinone is not carcinogenic. Hydroquinone is a commonly used medicinal ingredient with local anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties, primarily used to relieve symptoms such as pain and fever. Currently, there is no sufficient scientific evidence indicating that hydroquinone causes cancer. However, long-term and excessive use of hydroquinone may cause damage to organs such as the liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal tract; therefore, it should be used appropriately under medical supervision.

This rinsing process should be repeated several times until the phenolic odor disappears. To prevent absorption of any residual phenolic substances, an appropriate amount of vegetable oil may be administered into the stomach after gastric lavage to protect the gastric mucosa.

When using hydroquinone, strictly follow the instructions provided by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended dose or use for prolonged periods. Avoid using it concurrently with other medications to prevent adverse reactions. If allergic reactions or other discomforts occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician.
