Introduction
If diarrhea is caused by physiological factors, mushroom soup is generally acceptable. However, if the diarrhea results from acute enteritis, mushroom soup should not be consumed. If during eating, the ingested food is relatively cold, it may stimulate the gastrointestinal mucosa with cold, increase peristalsis, cause local smooth muscle spasm, and lead to premature entry of food into the intestines, potentially resulting in diarrhea.

Diarrhea refers to loose or watery stools. If diarrhea is caused by physiological factors, mushroom soup can generally be consumed. However, if diarrhea results from acute enteritis, mushroom soup should not be eaten. The details are as follows:
1. Can eat
If the food consumed is too cold, it may stimulate the gastrointestinal mucosa with low temperature, increasing intestinal motility and causing spasms of local smooth muscles. This leads to premature entry of food into the intestines, possibly resulting in temporary diarrhea, which usually resolves on its own after a short period. Eating mushroom soup under such circumstances generally does not affect health.
2. Should not eat
In patients with acute enteritis, inflammatory factors stimulate peripheral nerves in the intestine, preventing proper absorption of water from intestinal contents. This increases the fluid content of stool, altering its consistency and causing diarrhea. Consuming mushroom soup in this case may increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract and hinder recovery.
It is recommended to maintain a light diet during recovery, avoid high-fat and high-salt foods, and perform abdominal massage to help relieve discomfort.
