Rivaroxaban tablets are a novel oral anticoagulant that exerts hemostatic and antithrombotic effects by inhibiting factor Xa in the coagulation cascade. As a new anticoagulant, rivaroxaban primarily works through direct inhibition of coagulation factor Xa.

Rivaroxaban is a new type of anticoagulant whose effect primarily works through direct inhibition of factor Xa. Additionally, rivaroxaban can bind with antithrombin III, enhancing the activity of antithrombin against factor Xa. Rivaroxaban is indicated for anticoagulant therapy following hip or knee replacement surgery to prevent venous thromboembolism, as well as for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in adults, reducing the risk of recurrent DVT and pulmonary embolism (PE) after acute DVT.
Moreover, adverse reactions associated with the use of rivaroxaban may include bleeding, abnormal liver function tests, tachycardia, pallor, weakness, fatigue, syncope, loss of consciousness, dizziness, headache, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, dry mouth, vomiting, among others.
