Introduction
In general, quercetin cannot treat pulmonary nodules. Quercetin has preventive and inhibitory effects on pulmonary nodules, but it is not a treatment for them. Pulmonary nodules refer to focal, round, dense shadows in the lung visible on imaging, varying in size with clear or indistinct borders, and measuring 3 cm or less in diameter. During management, patients should develop healthy lifestyle habits and engage in appropriate physical activity.

Under normal circumstances, quercetin cannot treat pulmonary nodules. Although quercetin has preventive and inhibitory effects on pulmonary nodules, it does not constitute a treatment for them. The specific analysis is as follows:

Pulmonary nodules refer to focal, round, dense shadows visible on lung imaging, with various sizes and well-defined or indistinct borders, and a diameter less than or equal to 3 cm. They may be caused by a variety of benign and malignant conditions, such as benign lesions including tuberculoma, pulmonary aspergillosis, and inflammatory pseudotumor, as well as malignant conditions like lung cancer and metastatic tumors. Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant that helps regulate immunity, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, alleviate phlegm, and suppress coughing, thereby contributing to lung health protection. Therefore, quercetin can help inhibit oxidative stress in nodules and reduce inflammatory responses, but it cannot cure pulmonary nodules.

The treatment of pulmonary nodules primarily depends on whether they are benign or malignant. For benign nodules, no special intervention is usually required; patients only need regular follow-up and observation. However, for nodules with potential for malignancy, timely surgical removal and pathological examination are necessary. During treatment, psychological support for patients should also be provided to maintain emotional well-being and prevent anxiety or fear.

During the treatment period, patients should develop healthy lifestyle habits and engage in appropriate physical activity to enhance their immune system and promote recovery.
