Introduction
Oseltamivir is primarily used for the treatment of influenza, while ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used to relieve pain, fever, and inflammation. When a patient suffers from influenza accompanied by fever or body aches, physicians may recommend using both medications concurrently. However, concurrent use of these two medications may increase the risk of adverse reactions in patients with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency or gastrointestinal diseases.

Generally, if a patient suffers from influenza accompanied by fever or body pain, oseltamivir and ibuprofen can be taken together. However, if the patient has severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, it is not recommended to take them concurrently. Patients are advised to seek timely medical attention and follow medical instructions for treatment. The analysis is as follows:

Oseltamivir is primarily used to treat influenza, while ibuprofen achieves analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the activity of prostaglandin synthase and reducing the production of prostaglandin E2. When a patient suffers from influenza with fever or body pain, doctors may recommend taking both medications simultaneously. Oseltamivir controls the infection through its antiviral effect, while ibuprofen reduces fever through its antipyretic action; the two medications complement each other. There is no direct clinical drug interaction between oseltamivir and ibuprofen, so they can be taken together.

If a patient has severe hepatic or renal insufficiency or gastrointestinal disease, taking these two medications concurrently may increase the risk of adverse reactions, such as gastrointestinal bleeding or further damage to liver and kidney function. In such cases, it is generally not recommended to take these two medications together.

During the medication period, patients should maintain a cheerful mood and avoid excessive emotional excitement. At the same time, they should rest on schedule and avoid overexertion.
