Introduction
If a patient has only gallbladder polyps—without cholecystitis or gallstones—they typically remain asymptomatic. However, some patients with concurrent cholecystitis or gallstones may experience distending pain or dull discomfort in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen; others may also report distending or dull discomfort radiating to the back. Patients should rest adequately and minimize intake of high-fat foods, such as eggs, milk, and fatty meats.

If a patient has only gallbladder polyps—without cholecystitis or gallstones—they typically remain asymptomatic. However, some patients with coexisting cholecystitis or gallstones may experience discomfort such as distending or dull pain in the right upper quadrant; others may also feel distending or uncomfortable pain radiating to the back. Patients should rest adequately and minimize intake of high-fat foods, such as eggs, milk, and fatty meats. Additionally, if repeated follow-up examinations reveal gallbladder polyps larger than 1 cm, there is an increased risk of malignant transformation; in such cases, laparoscopic cholecystectomy should be actively considered.
