  • Allergenic foods: Foods containing high levels of allergens—i.e., common allergens themselves—must be strictly avoided. Even individuals without known allergic constitutions should steer clear of mangoes, kiwifruit, pineapples, peaches, cow’s milk, soy products, peanuts, and similar items.
  • Fatty and fried foods: These include foods rich in animal fats and deep-fried items. Though not inherently allergenic, such foods are difficult to digest and may impede recovery. Moreover, fried foods can generate internal heat, potentially exacerbating symptoms. Examples include braised pork belly, roasted goose, fried chicken, fried fish, and pig trotters.

  • Seafood and “fishy” foods: Seafood is highly allergenic and must be strictly avoided. This includes fish, shrimp, crab, oysters, yellow croaker, dried scallops, conger eel, squid, and cuttlefish—all of which may worsen allergic symptoms. After developing a skin allergy, opt for light, bland meals and consume more cooling, blood-clearing foods—such as winter melon, watermelon, dragon fruit, and cucumber.
