Sudden pain in the lower right abdomen is most commonly caused by gastric spasm or appendicitis. Additionally, your recent consumption of hotpot may also be a significant contributing factor—likely due to dietary indiscretion. It is recommended that you undergo a gastroscopy and/or colonoscopy for further evaluation, and/or take analgesic medication to alleviate symptoms.
