Disease description:

Recently, I’ve noticed a small lump on my finger joint that causes mild pain with movement. I suspect it’s a bone spur and would prefer to avoid surgery. Could you please advise how to treat bone spurs on finger joints?

Bone spurs have developed in the finger joints; anti-inflammatory medications for osteophyte treatment may be used. If conservative treatment proves ineffective, intra-articular corticosteroid injections may be considered. During treatment, medications that promote circulation, relax tendons and muscles, and relieve pain should be taken. Consuming bone soup (e.g., pork rib soup) is also beneficial. Avoid exposure to ionizing radiation and cold water, and protect the affected area from cold air drafts. Under a physician’s guidance, local joint massage may be performed to facilitate recovery.
