If you develop perianal eczema, treatment with medications—under a physician’s guidance—may be used. These include topical and oral medications. Topical options include mometasone furoate cream, while oral antihistamines such as loratadine tablets and ebastine tablets may be prescribed. For severe pruritus, calamine lotion can be applied to relieve itching. After developing perianal eczema, avoid consuming spicy or irritating foods and refrain from washing the area with hot water. Maintain proper perianal hygiene.
