Can people with high uric acid levels eat broccoli?
Disease description:
I personally enjoy eating broccoli, as I believe it’s beneficial for health. However, I’ve recently been diagnosed with high uric acid levels and would like to ask: Is it safe for people with hyperuricemia to eat broccoli?
Patients with hyperuricemia can consume broccoli. They are encouraged to eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Broccoli is not a high-purine food; therefore, patients with elevated uric acid levels may safely include it in their diet. Additionally, it is recommended to drink ample water daily—aiming for a urine output of 2,000–3,000 mL—to help promote uric acid excretion.
