How to Treat Dyshidrotic Eczema on the Hands
Disease description:
I’ve noticed many small blisters appearing on my hands over the past two days. After examination, the doctor diagnosed them as dyshidrotic eczema. How is dyshidrotic eczema on the hands treated?
If dyshidrotic eczema (pompholyx) develops on the hands, early-stage cases can be treated under a physician’s guidance with anti-inflammatory topical corticosteroids—such as hydrocortisone butyrate cream or clobetasol propionate cream. However, if severe localized pruritus occurs, oral antihistamines—such as cetirizine or loratadine tablets—may be prescribed.
