Tenosynovitis is a type of sterile, non-infectious inflammatory condition. Clinically, it primarily manifests as pain and swelling at the affected site. In most cases, it can be effectively managed with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for pain relief and inflammation control. Concurrently, adjunctive physical therapies—such as local heat application, acupuncture, massage, and infrared irradiation—may be employed to enhance therapeutic outcomes. If symptom improvement remains suboptimal following conventional treatment, minimally invasive techniques such as percutaneous needle-knife therapy may be considered.
