What foods should be avoided with scabies?
Disease description:
I developed scabies a few days ago. My mother said I need to avoid certain foods—what foods should be avoided with scabies?
Patients with scabies should avoid spicy foods such as chili peppers, hotpot, and Sichuan peppercorns. They should also avoid pungent or irritating foods including garlic, leeks, cilantro, garlic sprouts, raw scallions, and mustard. Greasy foods—such as pork head meat—and fried, grilled, or barbecued items should be temporarily avoided. “Trigger” foods—including beef, mutton, rooster, fish, shrimp, crab, and other seafood—should also be avoided. Additionally, high-calorie and hard-to-digest foods—such as rice cakes and cake—are prohibited. Smoking, alcohol, coffee, and strong tea must also be avoided.
