Can scabies be cured?
I have scabies, with many small red rashes on the inner side of my wrists and around my waist. It itches severely at night. Can this condition be completely cured?

Scabies can usually be cured, but it is important to follow standardized treatment under the guidance of a physician.
Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei mites, and its main symptoms include skin itching, papules, and burrows.Treatment for scabies typically involves topical medications, such as creams or lotions containing acaricidal ingredients, such as 5% sulfur ointment or 1% gamma-hexachlorocyclohexane cream. Oral medications may also be used in combination.
When medical treatment is ineffective, especially when scabies nodules develop, liquid nitrogen cryotherapy may be used to cause necrosis and shedding of the nodular tissue, or surgical excision of the nodules may be performed.During treatment, patients should avoid close contact with others, abstain from sexual activity, and disinfect clothing, bedding, and other personal items by scalding and washing.
As long as patients actively cooperate with treatment, complete the full course of therapy, and maintain good personal hygiene, scabies can be effectively controlled and ultimately cured. Additionally, family members or close contacts should also undergo examination and treatment to prevent disease transmission.
If any physical discomfort occurs, it is recommended to visit a hospital for examination and treatment promptly and actively cooperate with medical advice to avoid delaying the condition.
