Can palpitations and a feeling of cardiac anxiety trigger nausea and dizziness?
Disease description:
Recently, I’ve been feeling unwell. After visiting the hospital, I was diagnosed with palpitations. Although my symptoms improved with medication, irregular eating habits have since caused mild abdominal distension and nausea. Could palpitations and a sensation of heart pounding or racing lead to vomiting or dizziness?
Palpitations and a sensation of cardiac flutter may trigger nausea and dizziness. If cardiac function declines and the heart is unable to supply sufficient blood to the body—particularly to the brain—this can result in ischemic stroke, leading to symptoms such as nausea and dizziness. Additionally, this symptom may also occur in patients with severe cerebrovascular disorders, including cerebral infarction, transient ischemic attack (TIA), stroke, or intracerebral hemorrhage.
