Flea bites that develop into blisters are caused by an allergic reaction. Fleas carry certain viruses, which—during biting—are introduced into the skin via the flea’s saliva, potentially triggering a localized allergic reaction characterized by blister formation. This may be accompanied by symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain, and itching. In cases of severe symptoms, medication may be prescribed under a physician’s guidance—for example, Elomet cream (mometasone furoate), prednisone tablets, or cetirizine tablets.
