The onset of HIV/AIDS symptoms varies depending on the individual patient’s circumstances. In cases of acute infection, symptoms typically appear within six weeks after exposure. During the asymptomatic infection phase, symptom onset is unpredictable but generally occurs within one year. The HIV incubation period is prolonged—often lasting more than ten years—and may be accompanied by various opportunistic infections and malignant tumors.
