After getting pulmonary vasculitis, I've been experiencing frequent coughing and sometimes shortness of breath. Could you please tell me what the symptoms of pulmonary vasculitis are?

Dr. Liu Aihua
Pulmonary vasculitis can cause coughing and sputum production to varying degrees, mostly presenting as a dry, irritative cough. Sometimes, due to alveolar hemorrhage, blood or blood-tinged sputum may be present. Patients may experience chest tightness and shortness of breath after physical activity as a result of alveolar hemorrhage and interstitial lung disease; severe cases may develop dyspnea, respiratory failure, and symptoms of hypoxemia. Systemic symptoms of pulmonary vasculitis include fever, fatigue, arthralgia, and skin lesions, particularly in patients with systemic vasculitis or connective tissue diseases. Granulomatous vasculitis may present with symptoms such as dyspnea and cough.
