I've recently been having trouble passing stool. I'd like to know what causes difficulty in bowel movements?

Difficulty in defecation may be caused by several factors: 1. Disruption of the intestinal microbiota, leading to slowed intestinal motility and resulting in bloating, abdominal pain, and difficulty passing stool. 2. Long-term improper diet may induce constipation, causing reduced bowel movement frequency, dry and hard stools, difficulty in defecation, as well as a sensation of incomplete evacuation. 3. It could also be due to excessive internal heat ("fire") in the body.
