What are the symptoms of ankle synovitis?
Disease description:
My girlfriend injured her ankle, and it seems like she might have synovitis. What are the symptoms of ankle synovitis?
Synovitis of the ankle joint is caused by overexertion, trauma, or fractures. Mild ankle synovitis usually presents no symptoms, but prolonged strain and exercise can lead to a sensation of swelling in the ankle. Slight localized swelling may appear on the skin, accompanied by significant tenderness upon compression and positive pain response upon tapping. In severe cases, it can result in ankle joint dysfunction. When stimulated externally, intense pain may be triggered.
