What are the symptoms of a neck muscle strain?

Cervical muscle strain can cause localized muscle fiber tears, leading to hematoma formation within the muscle. It presents with sharp pain, visible swelling, and skin bruising. In more severe cases, muscle strain may result in localized depression and significantly impair neck movement. Cervical MRI or ultrasound examination can be performed to assess the severity of the muscle injury. In most cases, conservative treatment is recommended.
