What should I do if a bone spur develops in the finger joint?
Disease description:
There is a bone spur at the joint of my middle finger, and it's now slightly painful. I would like to know what should be done about a bone spur on the middle finger joint.
If there is no impact on finger joint mobility and no symptoms such as pain, treatment is not necessary—regular follow-up examinations are sufficient. However, if joint movement is affected and symptoms such as pain and swelling occur, patients may undergo surgical removal of the bony spur to relieve clinical symptoms. During treatment, excessive hand activity and overuse should be avoided, which helps in managing and improving the condition.
