Newborns with jaundice should not receive vaccinations, primarily because vaccination may worsen the symptoms of jaundice, thereby affecting the vaccine's efficacy. It is recommended to delay vaccination until the jaundice symptoms have resolved. If the newborn has pathological jaundice, treatment with blue light phototherapy is required; however, physiological jaundice generally does not require special medical intervention.
