Hello, this condition is relatively common and is medically termed “dyshidrotic eczema.” Dyshidrotic eczema is a type of dermatitis that typically occurs symmetrically on the sides of the hands or feet—areas where eccrine (sweat) glands are particularly abundant. Because small vesicles are its hallmark feature, it is named “dyshidrotic” (derived from “hidro-,” meaning sweat, and “-dyso-,” implying dysfunction or abnormality).
