How is gallbladder adenomyosis best treated?
Disease description:
I was just diagnosed with gallbladder adenomyosis, and my doctor recommended surgical treatment. Could you please advise on the best way to treat gallbladder adenomyosis?
Gallbladder adenomyomatosis generally requires surgical treatment. Most cases of gallbladder adenomyomatosis are benign and can be managed by local excision of the affected tissue via laparoscopy. During surgery, frozen section pathological examination of the removed tissue is necessary. If the result is benign, the procedure can be concluded; however, if malignancy is detected, cholecystectomy must be performed to achieve complete cure.
