Is it good to have a mole under the eye?
Disease description:
There is a fairly noticeable black mole under my eye. Recently, I've noticed that it has become larger than before. I'm considering having it removed, but since it's so close to my eye, I'm worried about potential damage to my vision. I'd like to know: Is having a black mole under the eye a problem?
The appearance of a dark mole under the eye is primarily due to the clustering of skin pigment cells and is usually benign, posing no direct impact on health. However, from aesthetic or cultural perspectives, some people may feel that such moles affect facial appearance, especially when located in prominent areas like under the eyes. Whether this is considered "good" or "bad" largely depends on individual perception and personal acceptance. If the mole affects one's self-image and removal is desired, medical treatments such as laser therapy or surgical excision are available options. On the other hand, if the individual does not mind the mole and it causes no discomfort, there is generally no need for concern.
