Fetal position at six months of pregnancy
Disease description:
I'm six months pregnant now and feel my belly is a bit droopy. Where is the fetus located at six months of pregnancy?
At six months of pregnancy, the fetus's position within the pregnant woman's abdomen is not fixed, primarily due to the relatively large range of movement within the amniotic fluid. At this stage, the fetus is mainly located in the lower abdominal area but frequently moves around in the amniotic fluid. As pregnancy progresses, after 28 weeks, the fetus's position becomes relatively stable; especially after 32 weeks, the fetal presentation usually becomes fixed. Pregnant women should pay attention to fetal movements during this period; typically, about 30 fetal movements within twelve hours indicate normal fetal health. Pregnant women should also undergo regular prenatal checkups to promptly monitor fetal development and ensure the fetal position is normal.
