Now my period is delayed and hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve been experiencing particularly severe nipple pain. I’ve heard that breast tenderness is common in early pregnancy, and I’d like to know: Can nipples hurt right after conception?

Hello, breast tenderness—particularly of the nipples—is a common and normal symptom during early pregnancy. This is primarily due to the surge in estrogen and progesterone levels that occurs early in pregnancy, which affects breast tissue. In most cases, mild breast discomfort during early pregnancy is not a cause for concern and typically improves as pregnancy progresses into the later stages, largely due to shifting hormonal levels. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!
