Dr. Wang Xiaoyan
The primary cause of grape allergy is related to individual body constitution. Grapes contain various trace elements including calcium, phosphorus, iron, fructose, protein, vitamins, and amino acids. Although most people do not easily develop allergies after consuming grapes, some individuals with allergic predispositions may experience an excessive immune response due to genetic or other factors after eating grapes, leading to allergic reactions. Symptoms of allergy may include skin reactions such as rashes, blisters, and itching, as well as gastrointestinal discomfort such as diarrhea and nausea. When allergic symptoms occur, grape consumption should be stopped immediately, and treatment with antihistamine or topical medications should be pursued under a doctor's guidance. Additionally, individuals with allergies are advised to avoid consuming grapes in their daily diet to reduce the occurrence of allergic reactions.
