Dr. Yang Ziqi
Renal failure is mainly divided into the following two categories: 1. **Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)**: Characterized by a rapid decline in renal function, with symptoms such as oliguria or anuria developing in a short period. Etiologies are diverse, including shock, severe infection, toxins, hemolysis, etc. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are emphasized. 2. **Chronic Renal Failure (CRF)**: The disease course usually lasts longer than three months, with gradual progression of renal dysfunction. Common causes include chronic glomerulonephritis, diabetic nephropathy, and hypertensive nephropathy. It can be staged based on glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and serum creatinine levels, progressing from stage I to end-stage renal disease, with progressive loss of kidney function.
