Disease description:

A few days ago, when I was intimate with my husband, he did not use a condom at first, and then put one on near the end. My period did not arrive on time this month, and I'm a bit worried. Is it possible to get pregnant when using a condom?

Using condoms (commonly referred to as "wearing a condom") is one of the effective methods for contraception and preventing sexually transmitted diseases, but it does not guarantee 100% effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. Correct use of condoms—putting the condom on before sexual activity begins, ensuring it is not damaged, and removing it promptly after sexual activity—can reduce the risk of pregnancy.

If improper use occurs during application, such as the condom slipping off, breaking, or not being put on before ejaculation, contraceptive failure may result, leading to a possibility of pregnancy. Therefore, although condoms can reduce the risk of pregnancy, they are not absolutely reliable. It is still advisable to combine them with other contraceptive methods or pay attention to the timing of sexual activity.
