Peeling of the fingertips is generally caused by the following factors: 1. Physiological desquamation—During the transitional seasons of spring and autumn, small white blisters may appear on the fingers, followed by gradual, layered peeling; however, there are typically no prominent symptoms. 2. Hand eczema—The primary clinical manifestations include vesicles, erythema, and pruritus; peeling often develops after a period of time. 3. Tinea manuum (hand dermatophytosis)—This condition usually begins on the fingers or palms and gradually spreads, eventually forming vesicles; in severe cases, peeling and pruritus may occur.
