Disease description:

Every month during my ovulation period, my husband and I have intercourse, yet I still haven’t become pregnant. We’ve both undergone medical examinations, and no abnormalities were found. Why haven’t we conceived despite having intercourse during the ovulation period?

Hello, it is entirely normal not to become pregnant even if intercourse occurs on the day of ovulation. Numerous factors can affect conception, including sperm quality in males, patency of the fallopian tubes, and endometrial thickness. Even in the absence of any identifiable fertility issues, sperm and egg may not successfully unite during intercourse; without fertilization, pregnancy cannot occur. At present, we recommend continuing your efforts to conceive. During this preconception period, maintain healthy lifestyle and dietary habits, avoid strenuous exercise and heavy physical labor, ensure adequate nutrition, and take folic acid supplements to help prevent neural tube defects in the developing fetus. We hope this information is helpful to you. Wishing you a happy and healthy life!
