It is not recommended to become pregnant immediately after receiving botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for facial slimming. Facial slimming effects typically begin to appear about one week after injection, with gradual reduction in facial fullness. The optimal slimming effect is usually observed two to three months post-injection. Pregnancy may be safely planned approximately six months after the injection.
Botulinum toxin injections can reduce masseter muscle volume by up to 30%, and their effects generally last around six months. Therefore, under normal circumstances, it is considered safe to conceive six months after treatment—by which time the drug’s effects have nearly completely subsided and pose no risk to fetal development.
